We have extended our product spectrum of CAN interfaces for PCs and IPCs with a variant for CompactPCI systems. The plug-in card PCAN-cPCI is intended for computers with CompactPCI backplane and has a 3U form factor. It contains either two or four CAN channels, each being opto-decoupled from the card’s interface circuits. Two CAN channels are hooked-up via D-Sub connectors located on the card’s front blind; the Quad Channel version uses an additional front blind with cables to the PCAN-cPCI card.
Like all other of our CAN interfaces, the PCAN-cPCI card can be accessed via the uniform PCAN software library which is available for Windows and Linux. Therefore any program being PCAN compatible can be run with the PCAN-cPCI card without adaptations.
